    Today we took our profile photos for our website. Like other teams, we used the portrait feature on the iPhone to take good quality photos. Since I've uploaded the profile photo, I have finished my part of the website. From the next lesson, I will work on my video plan.

    Today we discussed about the profile photos. We decided that we will take our profile photos next week. Also, I planned the general structure of my video. 

We have continued creating our website, but we have already finished most of it. We still have to take our profile picture and discuss about the book review video, so we will do that next week.

     Today Mr.Paterson told us about the National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo).  We aren't going to write a novel, but we were told to write about what kind of books we like. These past few months, I've only read non-fiction books, so it was difficult to come up with a plot of a book.

     Today I got the feedback of my presentation from Mr.Paterson. There were a few things that I needed to improve. Firstly, there should be only one image on a single slide. In some slides, I used two images on one slide, but if I do this, the audience would look at the two photos and won't be listening to what the presenter is saying.  Secondly, my reference slide was a little messy. The font size was 12 which was too small: the minimum font size should be 20.  The image reference slides looked messy too.  I have fixed all of these problems now.  On the other hand, the good point of my presentation was the summary. Mr.Paterson said that my summary had explained the story well.

     Today Mr.Paterson gave feedback on the presentations. I thought my turn wouldn't come today so I continued creating our group's book review website. I've finished most of the pages (still haven't finished the video and bio page) at home so I unified the style of each page to make it look professional. 

    As of today, everyone finished their presentations. At the start of the lesson, there was a Wi-Fi problem. Recently, I realized that the school's Wi-Fi was worse than ever. It takes time for the login page to pop up, and even when I could log in, the Wi-Fi is so slow that I can't do any research. I demand faster Wi-Fi in our school.      Today, one person introduced the book "Animal Farm". I've read this book before when I was small, so today I finally realised that it represents the Russian Revolution. However, I only know the basic things about the Russian Revolution so I wanted the presenter to explain it more.     At the end of the lesson, Mr.Paterson showed us the perfect slides that were used in the online meeting that he participated in.      Today, people weren't in Mr.Paterson's class last year did their presentations. Their presentations were good. Especially, there was one person who analyzed the book very deeply. That person connected the story of the book to a real incident. This showed that the person did a detailed 3Bs research. Also, there was another person whose presentation was good. That person spoke fluently, didn't say any filler words and she did the gestures so I was simply amazed by the good delivery skills. Listening to the presentations, I noticed two things. The first is that many people use timelines when explaining the author's life. This is an effective way to explain the author's life visually, so I think I should have done it too. I think it's a good idea to have the author's age on the timeline as well as the year.     In this presentation, I was able to improve from the presentation I did last year. For example, I was able to look at the audience for a longer time, my gestures were better and I didn't say filler words. However, there were bad points too.     At the beginning of the presentation, there were some technical problems that delayed my presentation a little. Fortunately, the problems were solved before the presentation, but the audience is watching us when we are at the front, so I should have explained that there were some technical problems. Next, although my gestures were better than last time when I went to the computer to change the slides, my glasses slid, so I had to fix it each time. This might be a little thing but it is still a bad thing to do when doing a presentation. Also, I didn't notice when I was doing my presentation but I was looking at the slides for quite a long time.
