    After having breakfast, Prendick and Montgomery armed themselves with whips and revolvers and went to a hot spring on the island. On the way, they saw a tree barked in long strips and splintered. This was against the Law "Not to claw Bark of Trees". The beast-men were hypocrites who didn't obey the law themselves. They meet the Ape Man on the way, and he hailed Montgomery, but not Prendick since he thinks Prendick was also a beast-man created by Moreau. Montgomery aggressively threatens the Ape Man to hail Prendick, but he still doubted Prendick. On the way back to Prendick's shelter, the two of them discovered a dead rabbit torn into pieces. Prendick tells Prendick that he saw the same thing when he first ran away from the shelter. Montgomery became very horrified because the beast-men were not obeying the Law and becoming more beastly.       Montgomery was waiting anxiously when Prendick came back to his shelter. Prendick tells Montgomery that he was chased by a strange man, and asked Montgomery what was chasing him. Montgomery tells Prendick that it's only his imagination. Exhausted from running away from the stranger, Prendick soon falls asleep. When he woke up, he hears a man's screaming, so he opened the door of the room which the screaming was coming from. In the room, there was Moreau vivisecting a human on a framework. The man was bandaged and there was blood around his injuries. Moreau grabbed Prendicks shoulder and pushed him back into his own room and locked the door. Prendick realized that Moreau was vivisecting humans on this island and realized that he was in danger too. He toured off a side rail of a deck chair for a weapon and escaped from his shelter. Montgomery chased after Prendick but Prendick went inside the jungle until he couldn't hear Montogomery's voice. In the jungle, he meets...

    The book I chose to read is "The Island of Dr Moreau". I chose this book because my mother recommended me this book. The Island of Dr Moreau is a science fiction book that was written in 1896 by H. G. Wells. I heard that he wrote many incredible science fiction stories. However this time, we are going to read a book for pleasure, so I stopped researching the author. The book consists of short chapters, so I decided to divide them into three groups and write a blog about it.     The story starts with a ship getting wrecked. The protagonist Edward Prendick, a naturalist was on the ship, and he gets rescued by another ship. Prendick receives help from a man called Montgomery who said that he lived on an island which was the ship's destination. On the ship, there were many dogs and other animals and beasts.      Today we had an unusual lesson, we used pen and paper and did psychological tests. I didn't know why we were suddenly doing this, but it was fun. I don't think psychological tests are actually accurate, I think it's just entertainment. Also, I had some questions. If people were asked what colour they like and why they like it, the answer(adjectives) would definitely be a positive thing. So I don't think the adjectives describe what people think of themselves. Also, the water question wasn't accurate. However, the animal and white room question was very accurate. The drawing psychological test was 50% accurate. 

     Today Mr.Paterson told us the origin of Christmas traditions and other things we thought was normal. I knew that Christ wasn't born on 12/25 but I didn't know he was probably born in spring. I also knew about the relationship between Coca Cola and Santa Claus. However, I didn't know why Japanese people eating KFC on Christmas day or that the music when supermarkets close was actually an old Scottish folksong or Christmas traditions were actually from other religions, so it was interesting listening to it. During the winter holiday, I'm planning of reading "The Island of Dr.Moreau" by H. G. Wells. I chose this book because my mother recommended me this book.

 I checked all of my works and they all looked fine, so I studied for the term-end exam.

 Everyone is saying that we had to make an original trailer so I used my time thinking how I would make it. I decided to make a short trailer with pictures of Hobbiton and a dramatic background music.
