We continued watching the documentary on corporations. A corporation had conducted research on the relation between nagging children and how often the parents buy that product for the children. This research was corporate research so they didn't have to take proper ethical procedures. So they used the research data to manipulate children more effectively, which creates lifelong customers for the corporation. The corporation also used knowledge of psychology to manipulate mentally immature children, which is completely unethical. Sweden and Norway have banned all advertising targeting children, but they are rare countries. Most other countries might have banned advertising of cigarettes but not all advertising targeting kids.
The documentary also mentioned private ownership of everything. I thought that this idea is ridiculous because if the corporations owned essential things for maintaining our life, such as water and air were privately owned, the poor people would be exploited like the people in Bolivia. They had to pay a quarter of their daily salary to buy water. This world is not only for the huge corporations, ownership of everything shouldn't be allowed.
