    Today we finally finished watching the video on corporation. First, the video mentioned about companies social responsibilities. A women in the video stated that corporate responsibility is a voluntary tactic of the corporation to indirectly increase profit. I thought that this was true because corporations' ultimate purpose is to make profit, and thus if CSR increases profit, the company would do it. Corporations are loyal to money and their shareholders. Actually, I found a paper titled "The Economic Impact of Corporate Social Responsibility" which states that CSR ultimately increases profit. It is the same as corporations breaking laws when the profit they gain by breaking the law is larger than the fines. The only difference is that whether the corporations are doing a good thing or a bad thing. Looking at all the dirty side of society might bring us with feelings of despair, but when the people unite societies can actually change. Residents of Arcata united to force out unhealthy food chain companies from the city. A live rock festival held in an airport in Moscow attracted 1.7 million people, and the soldiers nor military was able to stop them. 

     In Japan, I don't think people would act to change society unless that is what majority of the people are doing, or the government would take responsibility. In Japan usually, the peer pressure towards the minorities would make other people not to join the political actions. However, if that is what the majority is doing, most people would do it without thinking if that's the right thing to do.
